House on Fire in Tóalmás – One Person Dies

A family house caught fire in Tóalmás, Pest County, in Fő street on Tuesday night (9th November), and the person who reported the accident was pulled out of the smoke-filled room, but his life could not be saved, the BM National Directorate General for Disaster Management told MTI.

 

In the 25-square-meter bedroom of the 150-square-foot, family house, clothes drying on a convector, an armchair next to the convector, and under the armchair, the parquet burned on one square meter. The cause of the fire is being investigated by disaster management.

Regarding the accident, spokesman Dániel Mukics drew attention to the usefulness of smoke detectors in the statement, noting that most injuries and tragedies are caused by toxic fumes from fires.
