Two cars collided late at night on Saturday (9th October) in Budapest, on main road No. 6 between kilometers 16 and 18. One person was killed in the accident, three were injured – the Budapest Police Headquarters reported on the police.hu website.
The circumstances of the accident are still unclear, the police are investigating what exactly happened with the help of experts. According to their announcement, as a result of the accident, one of the cars, a Mercedes, crashed through the railing and landed in the ditch. Its driver, a 38-year-old man from Budapest, died on the scene. His passenger, a 57-year-old woman, was taken to hospital by ambulances with life-threatening injuries. The other Audi-type vehicle was driven by a 28-year-old man, he was seriously injured while his passenger suffered minor injuries.
