Free Ice Cream at Lake Balaton—for One Hour!

Tamás Fekete, president of the Balaton Tourism Association, announced that this year’s “Ice Cream of Balaton” competition will be held on May 9—and not just anywhere, but on a ferry.

More than twenty varieties of delicious treats will compete for the title of Best Ice Cream of the Year. During the judging, a mobile ice cream shop will be set up on the ferry’s deck, where the best Balaton-region ice cream creations will be available for tasting.

And the best part? Ice cream will be free for one hour!
