Traffic Between Nagymaros and Szob Will Start Again Next Saturday

National

From next Saturday, train traffic can start on a track between Nagymaros and Szob, according to a modified schedule, because the restoration of the damage caused by the rain in June proceeded at a faster pace than planned, Mávinform informed MTI on Thursday.

According to the announcement, the Metropolitan, Báthory, Hungária EuroCity and Metropol EuroNight trains will once again run on the original route to and from the Nyugati railway station. The restoration work continues on the other track, and the specialists are expected to finish it by mid-August.

The G70 train, which departs hourly from Nyugati railway station on weekdays from 13:28 to 18:28 during the afternoon rush hour and at 8:33 on weekends, runs only as far as Nagymaros, from there you can continue with a replacement bus to Szob. Those traveling by bicycle towards the Danube Bend, between Nagymaros and Szob, should choose the Z70 trains, because some G70 trains are replaced by buses, on which bicycles cannot be transported – Mávinform pointed out.

The Jégmadár Expressz (Ex 18702, Ex 18703) connecting the Danube Bend with Lake Balaton on weekends will once again operate on the entire route in both directions, the announcement reads.
