From Today Until Mid-November the Cog-Wheel Railway Will Not Be Available in Budapest

From today, the cog-wheel railway will not be available for passengers until November 16th due to a track maintenance. During the works it is possible to travel between Svábhegy and Széchenyi Hill by a replacement bus.

 

The Budapest Transport Center wrote: passengers can travel between Széll Kálmán square and Svábhegy by bus 21 and 21A, between Királyhágó square and Svábhegy by bus 212, between Svábhegy, Széchenyi Hill and the Children’s Railway by the 60 replacement bus, and the Orgonás and Tamás Esze school stops can be reached by 60A and 60B buses.

The replacement bus 60 starts from Svábhegy at the Normafa stop of bus 21, it stops at the Széchenyi Hill, Children’s Railway station on Golfpálya road, behind the cog-wheel terminal and also in front of the Children’s Railway terminal.

Bus service 60A runs between Szent János Hospital and Pethényi road, bus 60B runs between Szent János Hospital and Tamás Esze School (Rőzse Street). Both buses depart from Városmajor Street, behind the stop of St. John’s Hospital on bus 128, on weekdays from 6 am to 9 am and from 3 pm to 6 pm according to the pre-announced schedule, on weekdays at other times of the day and on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays there will be a telebus system available for the passengers.

The intention to travel can be indicated on the website www.telebusz.bkk.hu/#/bejelentkezes or on the telephone number +36 1 325-5255, no later than 30 minutes before the departure time. Bicycles cannot be transported on replacement buses.
